Lofty Mount Lu
Shen Zhou, the founder of the Wu School in the middle Ming Dynasty, created his monumental masterpiece Lofty Mount Lu in 1467 to celebrate his teacher’s birthday. This large-scale vertical hanging scroll is not only a landmark in Shen Zhou’s early career but also a defining work of Ming literati landscape painting.
